Today is the World Environment Day. India is the country where per capita trees are just 28 when compared to countries like Canada (8953), Russia (4461) USA (716) and China (102) this number is very low.
We are going through the Parliamentary election in India nowadays. Our Constitution has granted every citizen over 18 years of age right to vote in election; this is known as Adult Franchise. Though our right to vote is optional yet we should take it as our duty to vote to strengthen our democracy. It has been a tendency among voters, especially in the urban areas, to treat the voting day as a day of rest. While skipping the vote may not seem to cause any harm, the long-term consequences are disastrous.
